Outrigger Systems

An outrigger system is a structural system used in tall buildings to enhance stability and resistance to wind and seismic activity. It works by connecting a central core (usually concrete or steel) to the perimeter columns of the building using horizontal structural members like trusses or beams. This connection increases the building's stiffness, reducing sway and improving overall stability, allowing for taller and thinner building designs.

2' couplers are combined as part of a three part assembly for an Outrigger System. They are typically combined with two 10' poles and locked into place with hitch pins. Special situations can require a 5’ extension, a second coupler and two more hitch pins.
